Legislation now requires all properties to be placed onto the open market with a Home Information pack (hip). The HIP includes important information about the property accompanied with an Energy performance Certificate (EPC) which provides a rating on the energy efficiency of the property. The HIP is designed to improve the home buying and selling process by making relevant important information available up front.

The HIP needs to be commissioned at the outset of marketing.

The HIP will include:

	An index of contents
	A sale statement
	Evidence of title
	An Energy Performance Certificate
	Searches and leasehold / commonhold documents
